With over 12 million children going to bed hungry every night in South Africa, feeding our children is one of the biggest issues facing our country today.
But there is help at hand! The Peninsula School Feeding Association has been feeding hungry children in the Western Cape since 1958 and has to date served over 1.5 billion meals.
Blisters for Bread, the annual charity fun walk, is an institution in Cape Town, and will be held for the 46th time this year. All funds raised will be donated to a local school’s feeding program, which pledges to give learners access to at least one good meal a day. Pre-entries, available on www.psfa.org.za, close 17 August 2015 and are limited to 12 000, so make sure to snap up your entry, as they get filled up in no time!
Get involved in helping to provide meals to our hungry children and get some exercise at the same time.
