Pear Crumble

Recipe by Monicia Horne

80g Butter
80g Light brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla paste/essence
4 Pears, peeled and cut into halves

For the topping:
200g Flour
150g Butter, cubed
75g Light brown sugar

Heat the oven to 180.
To make the topping, rub together the flour and butter until it resembles bread crumbs.
Stir in the sugar and set aside.
In a frying pan, melt the butter and add the sugar and vanilla paste.
Allow to cook for 2 minutes until its caramel like.
Add the pears and coat in the syrup. Cook until the pears turn golden.
Add the pears to a baking dish and sprinkle over the topping. Bake for 25 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Serve with Clover Classic Custard.
