MyMoneyStory - Roland Putsche & Aubrey Ngoma (17 Feb 2017)
#MyMoneyStory: Roland Putsche & Aubrey Ngoma Professional soccer players lead very busy lives, especially when their team is fighting for top spot on the ABSA PSL log. Between tough training schedules and regular fixtures, it’s a wonder how they find time to manage their finances. Expresso was lucky enough to sit down with Cape Town City FC footballers, Roland Putsche and Aubrey Ngoma, to find out how they hustle off the field.
We also manage to catch a few more answers from each soccer star before they left for a long day of training:
What’s the oldest thing you own that you bought with your own money? R: My Nintendo NES game console that I saved up for when I was a kid.
A: A Sony Bravia TV. It’s the first television that I ever owned. I bought it when I turned pro.
What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever spent a lot of money on? R: I buy way too many shoes. Some of the pairs that I own I’ve never even worn once.
A: Once I bought a really expensive pair of sunglasses impulsively. After getting home and looking at myself in the mirror, I realised that I looked really silly and never wore them again.
If you had unlimited funds, what car would you buy right now? R: baby blue Bentley with white leather seats
