Pet Health - Vondi Holistic Pet Nutrition
Today's Show (11 April 2011) Paul Jacobson, from Vondi's Pet Nutrition, joins us in studio to show us how to make doggie biscuits and to answer a few questions regarding correct dietary requirements for animals.
Info on Vondi's Treats:
Our range of biscuits, puppy crunchies and catnip crunchies is ideal for diet sensitive animals, as it contains no nasty preservatives, oils or bad starches. All natural ingredients: home made stock, vegetables, freshly picked herbs, stoneground wholewheat and cornmeal.
There are many variantions of this biscuit depending on the stock that you use: chicken, fish, ostrich and even vegetable.
Also, one could easily include nutritious suppliments and herbs to convert these biscuits into health biscuits: spirulina to boost immunity or rosehip and devils claw for pets struggling with arthritic issues or garlic to rid fleas or fresh mint to treat itchy skin.
Every pet deserves a treat, whether to affirm good behaviour, an in-between snack or to celebrate Xmas or any other festivity. But what biscuit or treat to give? Any biscuit that contains sugar, dairy or preservatives is no good and can lead to a variety of adverse medical conditions like skin allergies.
