Aviv Mirkin, owner of small busniess Forever Love:
I handmade all products myself from scratch, so I can do commissions on anything, eg: boston terrior studs, studs with sterling silver backing, etc.
Because I do markets, I have a whole display that fits nicely on a 2m table with all my branding.
I can also bring the silver in its raw form and some of my tools, as well as my polymer clay in its raw form and do a demonstration on how to make a rose or anything you would like.
Why did you start this small business?
I have always been artistic and creative, as my mother is an artist and grandfather was a sculptor, yet my father, as an accountant, pushed me to get a solid degree, I tried having a normal job, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't ignore my creative side. So after coming back from a difficult holiday, I realised how short life is, and that I just through myself head first into Forever Love.

At the age of 3, I got hold of my mother's fimo/polmer clay (which is a soft coloured clay that hardens once put in the oven), and started making tiny animals. Since then I haven't been able to stop! I adore the substance, as the colours never chip as they are embedded in the clay and once fired, it is quite durable and waterproof. I started my brand with only polymer clay pieces, but saw that there was a demand for sterling silver jewellery. So, I started part time classes at Fire petals studio, and now I make as I learn! My aim to combine sterling silver and fimo as you can see in this piece (will show a piece) for a truly unique style of jewellery.
Where can the public get hold of you or find your jewelry?
I'm at the Treasury market in Stellenbosch every first Saturday of the month, and at the Hope street market every last Saturday of the month. Or you can purchase my products online from my website, Hello Pretty or Cirqls online, as well as Hello Again in Long street.
Today is national women's day - your advise for other budding women entrepreneurs?
When you find what you love, pursue it, for if you never try you'll never know, and it is terrible to live with regret. Yet having said that, I also understand that not everyone can do what they love for a living, but that doesn’t mean that you should forget that dream, you must always have it in your life. For if its what makes you happy, then it makes life worth living for you.
