Expresso recently had a special treat for all Autobots and Decepticons fans, as we made our way down to the to the Transformers Exhibition in Johannesburg. For the first time in Africa, the robots in disguise have finally made their way down to our shores.
Even if you are not a die-hard fan, you can still appreciate the robotics and technology seen at the exhibition. Experience Opitmus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee in the flesh (or metal to be precise) with statues and sculptures of various sizes all made from re-used car parts, metal and other re-purposed materials. All displayed against the scenery of their technological home planet, Cybertron.
There's something for young and old, with a dedicated kids activation zone, where the young ones can build their own Transformers with waste materials.
The Transformers Exhibition will be in South Africa for 11 months in Johannesburg, Centurion and Cape Town.
