Tekkie Tax Day 2015

What can you do with R10?

You can buy yourself a soft drink or maybe even pay for parking after a shopping experience, or you can put it towards one of five very worthy causes.

It’s that time of the year again when you can kick off your high heels, school shoes or boots and swap them for your comfy pair of tekkies. The best part – it's all for a good cause.

The 29th of May is National Tekkie Tax Day, which is a fundraising campaign for a group of 16 National welfare organisations who joined forces for a big campaign with a big impact.

To choose the sector you'd like to support, all you need to do is remember your A, B, C's -

Basic Family Care

To get involved, Get your R10 sticker, or a pair of Tekkie Tags shoelaces for R30, and wear your tekkies with pride on Friday to show your support for a worthy cause.

You can get the stickers and “tekkie tags” from any of the participating welfare organisations or you can order what you need directly from their website. Stickers are also sold at Toys R Us stores across the country.

If you'd like to get involved in other ways, visit their website to find out how.

Put your best foot forward this Tekkie Tax Day!
