The Kiffness opens up about their new relationship
It’s the month of love, and everyone is glowing from new relationships and new love and the duo of The Kiffness are no different.
Meet David, the founding member of The Kiffness. He loves music, making meme’s and causing controversy on social media. He’s recently committed to Raiven, a 30 year old saxophone blowing, keyboard stroking musician and has recently been taken off the market by David.
The happy go lucky duo share an interesting love together, their bromance going from strength to strength as the days and weeks progress.
Here’s what they had to say about their blossoming love:
But in all seriousness, The Kiffness are one of SA’s hottest electro duo’s, with Raiven joining founding member, David Scott at the end of 2016. The Kiffness started in 2010, when David was a bedroom producer until his brother decided to enter them into a Battle of the Bands, in their hometown of Plett. They went on to win that competition, which officially kicked off their passion for live performing and their career as, The Kiffness.
The Kiffness have since produced hits such as the ‘Broccoli Song’, ‘Raba Do Ba Day’ and ‘You Say You Love Me’, as well as collaborating with the it names in SA including Kurt Darren, Shortstraw, Mathew Gold and most recently with Josh Wantie and Tawanna Shaunte. Going forward, the band hope that they find musicians who share their passion and thoughts on topics to collaborate with.
The band’s music is influenced by current affairs, life and gifts as much as other musicians, like Goldfish, Gorilla’s and French band, Air.
What is their formula to success? Well, luck really… David is known to be extremely grateful for being able to do what he loves each day, considering how many other talented artists there are out there.
What’s next for The Kiffness? Expresso exclusive is that the band are wrapping up the production and finalising collaborations for a new album that will be dropping towards May. And to make 2017 even more special, for the band to make their debut international tour.
