We take a look at some of the big trends and what has been trending this week on the internet. Some were good others were bad or just bizarre and of course twitter had a lot to say about all of them.
LA LA LAND AS A CLASSIC 8-BIT GAME The Oscar winning La La Land has been made into a 8-bit video game concept. The video recreates the musical as a game in which you dance your way into the stars, making the movie more than just a revival of the old-school Hollywood musical.
REAL LIFE KERMIT FROG DISCOVERED Your favourite tea sipping frog’s distant live-action cousin has been discovered in the jungles of Costa Rica. The new species is called Diane’s Bare-hearted Glassfrog. If he is anything cousin, we wonder what tea this frog has to spill about the other animals in the jungle.
OSCAR BEST PICTURE DEBACLE Sunday evening’s Oscar’s were a great spectacle to watch with the many big winners such as films like Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, Hacksaw Ridge and La La Land. However the biggest story to come out of the night was the Best Picture debacle, where Warren Beatty announced La La Land as the winner instead of Moonlight.
CYCLIST GETS REVENGE ON A VAN DRIVER A female cyclist gets some street justice for herself after chasing down a pair of delivery drivers who were catcalling her.
#BagelGate This one is kind of bizarre but also entertaining. There are few storylines happening all at once but it’s pretty much a brawl ensuing on a London train due to people placing bagels on other people’s heads (childish we know) but it all changed when people started annoyed by it resulting in fights breaking out all over the place.
