Soweto Art & Craft Fair - CNR. Bolani and Bolani Link Rds, Jabulani, Soweto

This June at the Soweto Art & Craft Fair, Jozi Unsigned in association with Concerts SA, will be bringing the genre bending “Future-ghetto-funk” sounds of the fashionable and fun Moonchild Sanelly.

Riding high off the release of her debut album “Rabulapha”, MoonChild’s star is rising far and fast, and she has a hit single - “Dance Like a Girl” – to prove it. This young Miss will be bringing her conscious content and spirited performance energy to the Soweto Art & Craft Fair stage on June 6th.

From beginning to end, The Soweto Art & Craft Fair will be jam packed with an array of all things bright and beautiful ranging from jewellery, fashion, home décor, paintings, food and more.

Devised as a platform to re-introduce locals and “Gautengers”, to the abundance of artistic talent being nurtured in South Africa’s favourite township, the ever-popular Art & Craft Fair has proven to be an amazing vehicle to bring people together through art, while contributing to the sustainability of South Africa’s informal creative sectors.

Get Outside Urban Trail Run in CT – Motherland Coffee, Mandela Rhodes Palace

Feel like a leisurely or brisk run through the breathtaking city centre every now and again? Don your takkies and hit the pavement for one of Get Outside’s Sunday Urban Trail Runs, which happen in and around the bustling city centre. The next one gets underway on Sunday, 7 June 2015 and athletes are asked to meet at Motherland Coffee at Mandela Rhodes Place at 8:30am.

Started by local company Get Outside, which aims to get Mother City folks active and adventurous in their urban environment, this fun must-do gets the blood flowing. Participants are able to see the city centre on foot and get a feel for the pretty city like no other. Continuing throughout winter, the series of ongoing runs is a sure way to keep your body on track to achieve summer fitness. For those not in the know, according to Get Outside, an urban trail run is a road run that doesn’t just stick to pavements, but explores cobbled roads, parks and more.

The run goes on for about 7kms but less seasoned runners are welcome to use the sneaky cheat routes to cut some distance. Participants are then welcome to get a much-needed shot of caffeine from the ever-popular Motherland Coffee shop, which is also the finishing point of the jog.

Entry to this fun run is absolutely free, mahala, gratis! Just be sure to bring your gees and running shoes and to get there at 8:30am sharp
