Woolworths Prawn and Corn Steamed Buns

Makes 16 buns
Cooking 20 minutes
Prep 15 minutes
 
Ingredients: 

For the filling:

3 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp each, crushed garlic, ginger and chilli mix
3 spring onion stalks, roughly chopped
3 meilies, corn removed (daily diff)
500g Freshly frozen uncooked & peeled large prawns, thawed and roughly chopped
2 tsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
3 Tbsp Asian hoisin sauce
1 lemon juiced
salt to taste
 
For the sauce: combine
3 Tbsp Asian hoisin sauce
3 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp each, crushed garlic, ginger and chilli mix
1 lemon gold, juiced
2 tsp sesame oil
Some thinly sliced spring onion
 
1kg prepared bread dough
 
Cooking instructions: 
Heat the oil over a medium heat then add the garlic, ginger, chilli and springonions, cooking for a minute before adding the corn and cooking for another minute.
Add the prawns, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, lemon juice and salt. Toss together and cook just until the prawns turn opaque.
 
Divide your dough into 16 equally sized balls before thinly rolling out into a circle. Add some of the filling to the centre of the rolled out dough and begin securing the filling inside by overlapping the ends of the dough, crimping as you overlap until the filling is sealed inside, finishing by pinching the top.
 
Arrange the buns in a steamer and set aside for 15 minute while bringing a pot of water to a simmer. Place the steaming basket over the pot and steam for 8-10 minutes or until the buns have cooked becoming soft and fluffy.
 
Serve with the dipping sauce on the side.
